Privacy notice

How I use the data you share when you book a call, write to me, refer someone or hire me for a project.

This is a translation of my aviso de privacidad, written under Mexican law. If the two ever differ, the Spanish version applies.

Who is responsible for your data

Mikhail Cruz Andrade, an individual operating the jailandrade brand, based in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico, is responsible for your personal data. For anything about this notice, write to hola@jailandrade.com.

What data I use

Only what you share when you book a call, email me or message me on WhatsApp:

  • Identity and contact: name, email and, if you message me on WhatsApp, your phone number.
  • About your business: your company name or website, what the system should do, what's breaking today and the budget range you have in mind.
  • Who referred you, if you tell me.

If you hire me, I also use your billing details: name or company name, tax ID, billing address and the email where you want the invoice.

If you refer a client and earn a referral fee, I'll ask for the details needed to pay you, such as bank and account number. This is financial data: I'll ask for your explicit consent before using it.

I don't ask for sensitive data. Please don't include health information about you, your patients or your clients in your messages.

Booking calls

I use Cal.com to schedule the diagnostic call. When you book, your answers are stored by Cal.com, which handles them on my behalf and following my instructions, and sends you the confirmation and reminders. This site stores nothing: the button only takes you to Cal.com.

Browsing data

Like any web server, mine logs technical data for each visit (IP address, browser, page, date and time) to keep the site running and secure. I don't use cookies, analytics or ads, and the site doesn't load content from third parties.

What I use it for

Only for what you ask me for:

  1. Replying to you and holding the diagnostic call.
  2. Preparing and sending you a proposal.
  3. If you hire me: building the system, supporting and maintaining it, billing you and issuing invoices.
  4. Recording who referred you, to credit and pay the referral fee.
  5. Meeting my legal and tax obligations.

I don't use your data for anything else: no ads, newsletters or promotions you didn't ask for, and I don't sell your data. If that ever changes, I'll ask for your consent first.

Other people's data

If you refer someone, only share their details if they agree. I'll use them only to contact that person about your referral, and I'll point them to this notice.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your data or pass it to anyone to use for their own purposes.

I work with providers that handle data on my behalf: Cal.com for scheduling, web hosting, email, WhatsApp (Meta) when you message me there and, if you pay online, the payment processor. Some of them are outside Mexico.

I also share data with authorities when the law requires it, for example with the Mexican tax authority (SAT) to issue invoices.

How long I keep it

  • If you don't hire me, I keep your data only while it's useful to follow up on your request, then I delete it.
  • If you hire me, I keep it for as long as we work together and for the five years tax law requires.

Your rights

At any time and at no cost, you can ask me to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, withdraw your consent or limit how I use it, for example by asking me to stop contacting you.

Email hola@jailandrade.com with the subject "Data rights" and include:

  • Your name and how you'd like to receive the answer.
  • A document that proves your identity or, if you act for someone else, their representative's.
  • Which right you want to exercise and on which data.
  • Anything that helps me find your information.

I'll reply within 20 days of receiving your request and, if it applies, carry it out within the following 15 days.

If you think I didn't handle your request properly, you can contact Mexico's data protection authority, the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno.

Changes to this notice

If I change this notice, I'll publish the new version on this page with its date. If the change is important and I have your contact, I'll let you know.
